Seth Teeters (b. 1988) is a photographer born in Bloomington, Indiana, and practicing in the region of Southern Indiana where his family has lived for two hundred years. His work is defined by the sustained gaze of the insider, returning over years to subjects of personal significance, while, in parallel, remaining receptive to discovery, following threads where he finds his own lived experience and faded memories reflected in the present. Working with film, his photographs sit in the tradition of lyric documentary, not seeking to be a complete record, but an arrangement of images that carry something of the weight of lived experience.
